[History] Gain in-depth knowledge about a well-reputed and historical wine area. Wine has been produced in the Carmignano region since Roman times. During the Middle Ages, the area was widely reputed for the quality of its wines. The reputation of Carmignano continued to grow with Queen Anne of Great Britain requesting regular shipments of the wine.
[The Tour] You will visit two wineries where you’ll receive tips about the art of wine tasting and wine and food pairing. You will tour the vineyards and wine cellars in the heart of Carmignano, giving an up close look at the production and ageing process of the wines. Additionally, you will learn about the secrets of extra virgin olive oil making. This wonderful experience includes wine tasting of a large spectrum of wine, lunch and the opportunity to buy some of the most prestigious Tuscan wines.
